Privacy notice
How Perfect Press handles personal information. Last updated 31 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Perfect Press. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and by email.
For any privacy question, reply to any email you have received from us, or send us a message through our contact page.
What we collect
This website has no analytics and no tracking. We only receive personal information if you send us an enquiry through our contact form, if you email us, or if we contact you (see "Journalists and businesses we contact" below). That usually includes your name, email address, the name of your business or publication, and anything you choose to tell us.
Our enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we use the details you give us only to reply to your enquiry. Form submissions are checked for spam by Cloudflare Turnstile and delivered to us by Resend. Our email is handled in Google Workspace. We keep enquiries for 2 years.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry
- To discuss and provide our services if you become a client
- To send relevant story pitches and business emails to journalists and businesses
- To keep records we are required to keep by law
Our lawful basis
We rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests: to respond to business enquiries, run our business, and contact journalists and businesses with relevant story pitches and business emails.
- Contract: where you are a client, or are taking steps to become one.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep certain records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run our website, email and business systems, including Cloudflare for hosting this website and checking enquiry-form submissions for spam (Cloudflare Turnstile), Resend for delivering enquiry-form submissions to us, and Google Workspace (provided by Google) for email. Your information may be processed outside the country where you are. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:
- Enquiries: 2 years.
- Client records: 6 years.
- Opt-outs: if you ask us not to contact you again, we keep a minimal record of that request so that we can respect it.
Journalists and businesses we contact
We use publicly available professional contact details, such as your name, work email address, publication or organisation and the subjects you cover, to send you relevant story pitches and business emails. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to our email, or send us a message through our contact page, and we will stop. If you opt out, we keep a minimal record of your details so that we don't contact you again.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, data protection law may give you the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to another organisation
To exercise any of these rights, reply to any email you have received from us, or send us a message through our contact page.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first by replying to any email you have received from us, or send us a message through our contact page. You can also complain to the relevant data protection authority where you live or work.
